Code of conduct for suppliers

AVS is a complete partner in audio and video products and one of the leading companies in Sweden in this field. We therefore have a great responsibility to provide our customers with the best possible advice regarding installations and products while conducting our business in a responsible and sustainable manner. Accordingly, we want to ensure that the goods and services purchased are produced under sustainable and responsible conditions.
AVS supports the UN Global Compact* initiative, which means that we will work to promote respect for human rights and basic working conditions, work for a better environment and fight corruption. The principles of the Global Compact form the basis of the AVS Supplier Code of Conduct. We expect our suppliers and partners to respect the Code of Conduct and to make every effort to achieve the following requirements within their own organization and in the supply chain.
The Code of Conduct is accepted via the AVS Supplier Certificate that suppliers and partners have to fill in to be approved.

Requirements for suppliers
Regulatory complianceEnsuring awareness of and compliance with relevant legal requirements is the basis for compliance with the Code of Conduct. We expect our suppliers to be up-to-date on, and comply with, applicable international regulations and conventions, as well as regional and national legislation in the countries where they do business.
Respect for human rights
Suppliers have a responsibility to respect and promote human rights both within their own operations and in their supply chain. Suppliers must ensure that they are not complicit, directly or indirectly, in human rights abuses. The supplier must have procedures to evaluate the risk of contributing to human rights violations through its activities.
Safety and health in the workplace
Employees working in the supplier's operations must be offered a safe and healthy working environment where preventive measures that minimize injuries and health risks must be taken. Employees shall receive training on the possible health risks that the work may entail, including fire safety, dangerous operations and first aid. Employers must, as far as possible, provide relevant protective equipment and ensure that health and safety information is easily accessible in the workplace.
No child labor, slavery or forced labor
In line with International Labor Organization (ILO) conventions, our suppliers must not engage in, or benefit from, the use of child labor, slavery or any other form of forced labor.
No discrimination or harassment
Suppliers must promote diversity and equal opportunities in their operations. Discrimination on the grounds of ethnicity, gender, pregnancy, religion, social origin, nationality, disability, political opinion or sexual orientation is prohibited. No worker may be subjected to harsh or inhumane treatment, including sexual harassment or any form of mental or physical punishment.
Working hours and remuneration
Wages shall be paid directly to the worker at the agreed time and in full. The supplier shall endeavor to ensure that living wages are paid to employees, and shall in no case pay less than the national/local statutory minimum wage. Weekly working hours must not exceed legal limits and any overtime must be compensated in accordance with law and practice.
Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining
The supplier is expected to recognize and respect the right of its employees to freedom of association and the right to bargain collectively as provided for in applicable laws and ILO conventions.
Environment
Suppliers shall conduct their activities in an environmentally responsible manner and comply with local and national environmental legislation. By having procedures to identify, measure and monitor its environmental impact, the supplier shall work to continuously improve its environmental performance and minimize resource consumption and emissions. The supplier shall strive towards a life cycle perspective regarding the environmental impact of products and services, and shall set environmental requirements for subcontractors.
Anti-corruption and business ethics requirements
AVS does not accept any form of corruption. We require our suppliers to conduct their business in accordance with applicable anti-bribery legislation and have accurate accounting and reporting procedures. Staff involved in purchasing and sales should have received training on the prevention of corruption. We do not accept that our suppliers offer or accept bribes, or otherwise seek to exert any form of undue influence in their business relationships.
Areas of conflict
Suppliers must ensure that no business is done that in any way supports war, conflict, drug trafficking or slavery. This also includes the use of conflict minerals.
Management system
Risk assessment, implemented policies, processes and procedures, clearly communicated roles and responsibilities, relevant training and instructions, setting and evaluation of targets, together with functioning control systems, form the basis for successful implementation of the Code of Conduct. We expect our suppliers to strive for continuous improvement, which requires that operations are conducted using management systems and in accordance with standards related to the areas described in the Code of Conduct.
Compliance and control
All business relationships between AVS and our suppliers must be based on honesty, trust and cooperation. By accepting the Code of Conduct, the supplier commits to ensure the implementation of these requirements within its own operations and towards its subcontractors and partners. It is also incumbent on the supplier to evaluate, risk assess and control its supply chain and to collect relevant information on supply chain compliance.
The ACP reserves the right to conduct audits to ensure compliance with the Code of Conduct. Such inspections may also be carried out by an independent third party. Non-conformities detected during audits must be addressed as soon as possible. We also encourage cooperation with our suppliers and are happy to participate in finding constructive solutions regarding the Code of Conduct and other sustainability issues.
Violations of the Code of Conduct will cause negative impact on the business relationship with AVS, including, but not limited to, the risk of contract termination.
Deviations and complaints
The supplier undertakes to ensure that systems for reporting and handling deviations from the basic conditions are implemented in its own operations and in the supply chain. In case of non-compliance with this Code of Conduct, the supplier's employees are encouraged to report the non-compliance to AVS. The information will be treated confidentially.

The principles of the Global Compact form the basis of AVS's Supplier Code of Conduct. We expect our suppliers and partners to respect the Code of Conduct and that they, within their own organization and supply chain, do their outmost to attain the requirements stated below.
Suppliers and partners must commit to this Code of Conduct to be approved. The commitment is stated when signing AVS's Supplier Statement.

Requirements for suppliers

Employees shall be educated on the possible health risks that the work may entail, including fire safety, hazardous work and first aid. The employer shall, as far as possible, provide relevant protective equipment and ensure that health and safety information is easily accessible at the workplace.

Suppliers shall conduct their business with respect to the environment and comply with local and national environmental legislation. Trough routines for identifying, measuring and monitoring its environmental impact, the supplier shall work to continuously improve its environmental performance and minimize resource consumption and emissions. The supplier shall strive towards a life cycle perspective regarding the environmental impact from products and services, and shall set environmental requirements for subcontractors.
Anti-corruption and business ethical requirements
AVS does not accept any form of corruption. We require our suppliers to conduct their business in accordance with applicable bribery legislation and to apply thorough accounting procedures. Relevant training for sales and purchasing employees is recommended. We do not accept that our suppliers offer or receive bribes, or in other ways seek to exert any kind of undue influence in their business relations.

The supplier must ensure that no business is done which in any way supports war, conflict, drug trade or slave trade. This also includes the use of conflict minerals.
Management system
Risk assessment, implemented policies, processes and procedures, clearly communicated roles and responsibilities, relevant education and instructions, goal establishment and evaluation, along with effective control systems form the foundation of a successful implementation of the Code of Conduct. We expect our suppliers to strive for continuous improvement, which implies that operations are run using management systems and in accordance with standards relating to the areas described in the Code of Conduct.Compliance and control
All business relationships between AVS and our suppliers must be based on honesty, trust and cooperation. By accepting this Code of Conduct, the supplier undertakes to ensure implementation of these requirements within its own operations as well as for its subcontractors and partners. It is also the suppliers' responsibility to evaluate, make risk assessments and control its own supply chain and to collect relevant information about the compliance throughout the supply chain.
AVS reserve the right to make audits to ensure the compliance with this Code of Conduct. Such audits may also be carried out by an independent third party. Deviations detected during audits must be adjusted as soon as possible. We also wish to cooperate with our suppliers in finding constructive solutions to issues related to sustainable business, whether related specifically to this Code of Conduct or not.
Failure to comply with the requirements stated in this Code of Conduct will adversely affect the business relationship with AVS, including but not limited to the risk of termination of the contract.Deviations and complaints
The supplier undertakes to ensure that systems for reporting and managing deviations from the conditions described in this Code of Conduct are implemented in their own operations and in the supply chain. In the event of deviations from this Code of Conduct or other similar complaints, the supplier's employees are encouraged to report the deviations to AVS. AVS is a complete partner in audio and video products and one of the leading companies in Sweden in this field. We therefore have a great responsibility to provide our customers with the best possible advice on installations and products while conducting our own business in a responsible and sustainable manner. We have summarized our expectations for the business in a code of conduct that covers all employees of the company.
Our Code of Conduct is based on our core values of honesty, respect and trust and guides how we as a company and our employees are expected to act in different situations. We work systematically with issues relating to gender equality, the work environment and the environment and have adopted a common policy in these areas. To clarify our expectations of our employees, this Code of Conduct has been developed. The Code of Conduct describes the guidelines we should all strive to follow and gives us practical guidance in our daily work and business decisions.
Each employee is responsible for complying with the Code of Conduct and is encouraged to report any breaches to their line manager.
The Code of Conduct has been adopted by the company's management and will be reviewed annually to ensure that it is aligned with both the demands and expectations of the outside world and the evolution of our own organization and business. The Code of Conduct will be updated as necessary.

Our guidelines
We strive to be a competitive, respected and trusted partner in audio and visual products. Customers, employees, suppliers and other stakeholders should feel confident in what AVS stands for, and know what to expect when dealing with us.
Our Code of Conduct clarifies how we as a company and our employees should act to conduct business in an ethically, socially and environmentally responsible manner. Our environmental work is based on the objectives developed within the framework of the company's environmental management system. The starting point is that operations must be conducted in accordance with relevant legal requirements and with the least possible negative impact on the environment in order to contribute to lasting and sustainable development.
AVS shall actively combat all forms of corruption, including extortion and bribery, and promote transparency and employee awareness of these issues. Our agreements with customers and suppliers, in our case often legal entities, are subject to confidentiality. Only those who need access to information in order to carry out their tasks should have access to such information and it should be treated confidentially.

At AVS, we will work together to create value for our customers. We will take the time to understand our clients' wishes and act with respect and understanding. When dealing with clients, we must always be well informed about their situation in order to find the right solutions. All customers are important and deserve to be treated well, and we will always do our best to help our customers.

We aim to be a good employer for all our staff and to offer an attractive workplace that reflects our core values. Our corporate culture and behavior should be characterized by tolerance. No form of abusive or derogatory behavior is accepted. At AVS, there is zero tolerance for any form of discrimination based on, for example, ethnic origin, nationality, beliefs, sexual orientation, gender or age. We actively promote equal treatment, diversity and gender equality. We work to continuously improve health and safety in the workplace. We will ensure a good working environment from a physical, psychological and social point of view.
Our partners, suppliers and other stakeholders
We always remain accountable to our customers and other stakeholders, even when we have subcontracted a job. We always answer to our customers and do not blame a subcontractor. Therefore, when dealing with subcontracting, we need to ensure that our partners take the responsibility required by laws and regulations.
Procurement of products and services must comply with our Supplier Code of Conduct. AVS supports the UN Global Compact initiative, which means that we must promote respect for human rights and basic working conditions, work for a better environment and fight corruption. The principles of the Global Compact form the basis of our Supplier Code of Conduct. The same requirements that are imposed on us with regard to sustainability assessments must be imposed on our subcontractors.
