Job vacancies

We are looking for:

Head of Installation Sweden & Technical Manager Gothenburg

National Leadership – Strategic and Operational Role

ABOUT AVS

AVS i Sverige AB has been a nationwide full-service provider of professional audio-visual solutions since 1986. We deliver tailored AV solutions throughout the entire process – from needs analysis and system design to installation, commissioning, and long-term support – for businesses, municipalities, regions, government agencies, schools, and universities.

With tens of thousands of completed installations, AAA credit rating, ISO certifications, and membership in PSNI Global Alliance, AVS has established itself as a stable and long-term player in the industry. Our installation organization consists of approximately 40 technicians across offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmö.

As the company continues to grow and projects become increasingly complex, we are now looking for a Head of Installation who wants to take both strategic and operational responsibility for further developing AVS’s installation operations.

ONE ROLE – TWO AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

As Head of Installation Sweden, you will have national responsibility for leading and developing AVS’s entire installation organization. You will define strategy, build structure, and lead the Technical Managers in Stockholm and Malmö. You will be part of the management team and report directly to the CEO.

As Technical Manager Gothenburg, you will have direct personnel responsibility for the technician team in Gothenburg – currently seven employees. Your role is to be a present and clear leader: seeing each individual, creating the right conditions for them to succeed, and supporting their continued professional development. You will ensure the right competence and staffing levels, while also taking responsibility for the execution of the region’s most business-critical installation projects.

THE ASSIGNMENT

Set the direction – formulate and drive a long-term strategy for the installation department and translate it into clear working methods and priorities.

Lead the organization – manage the Technical Managers in Stockholm and Malmö and take direct personnel responsibility for the installation department in Gothenburg. You will plan, follow up, and create structure in day-to-day operations through performance reviews, department meetings, skills development, and salary reviews.

Secure competence – ensure the organization has the right technical expertise, the right balance between in-house technicians and subcontractors, and stay up to date with developments in AV technology and digital collaboration solutions.

Deliver projects – take operational responsibility for planning, staffing, and executing AVS’s most complex projects in the Gothenburg region, in close collaboration with sales, presales, and the scheduling department.

Contribute to the management team – be an active voice in AVS’s strategic work, in close dialogue with the CEO and the rest of the management team.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone with solid leadership experience and a genuine passion for leading people. You have built and developed organizations, thrive in roles with personnel responsibility on multiple levels, and are motivated by seeing employees and middle managers grow. You are confident in your day-to-day leadership – setting direction, following up, building trust, and making decisions.

You:

  • Have extensive, long-term experience leading installation or service organizations.
  • Have experience managing managers and making decisions in a project-based organization.
  • Have worked in environments where technical solutions are designed, installed, and commissioned for customers – such as AV technology, security systems, building automation, or similar fields.
  • Are structured and accustomed to administrative work involving follow-up, competence matrices, documentation, and digital management systems.
  • Have strong IT and computer skills and are comfortable using digital tools in daily work.
  • Can build strong collaboration with departments closely connected to installation operations – sales, presales, and scheduling.
  • Are able to set clear expectations regarding quality and delivery when required.

Experience delivering solutions to the public sector, corporate clients, or within the AV industry is considered an advantage – as is an established professional network that strengthens opportunities for strategic partnerships. What matters most is that you understand and enjoy working in a business where technical installation and delivery are at the core.

You are based in the Gothenburg area and are prepared to travel regularly to the offices in Stockholm and Malmö.

WE OFFER

  • A key role with real authority – here, you shape the organization rather than simply maintain it.
  • A place in the management team, with direct access to the company owners and CEO.
  • A growing business where leadership truly makes a difference.
  • Skilled colleagues with a strong sense of professional pride.
  • A financially stable company with a long history, AAA credit rating, and a clear ambition to continue growing and evolving.

Location: Gothenburg (national travel included)
Reports to: CEO
